ECR Guide to Roulette Strategies
Roulette is the world-famous casino classic that has existed for over 300 years, and in that time, many strategies have been adopted that have come and go. But some strategies have withstood the test of time, and are commonly used in games of roulette the world over. We’re going to highlight some of the most popular.
This is surely one of the most well-known and indeed oldest roulette strategies. The Martingale works on the system of doubling your original bet each time you have a loss. The theory is that you can recoup your previous losses when you start winning, however, this strategy requires a fairly high bank roll, and requires that you start low and set yourself limits. When you win a round, drop your bet back down to your minimum, and repeat. In ECR 2018 the minimum bets are stipulated as per the event rules, and you’ll receive a set number of chips to start the Heat with.
The Reverse Martingale or Paroli
This betting system is a progressive system similar to the Martingale, but that works in the opposite way. Double on a win and drop your bet back down when you have a loss. This system is effective when betting on even bets (red/black, odd/even, 1-18/19-36). The aim of this strategy is to ride on your winning streak and potentially collect a large win at the end, but it’s important to set a point at which you decide to stop.
Named after the Fibonacci sequence (where every number after the first two is the sum of the two preceding ones), this strategy is considered a safe roulette strategy in that it using the numerical sequence to increase stakes by the sum of the two previous numbers. A win using this strategy is likely to recoup a portion of your previous losses, but it’s not going to win them all and you won’t be collecting massive wins either.
Similar to the Martingale, when you win a round using this strategy you’ll drop your bet by a unit (an amount you can decide on yourself). Playing roulette in this way allows for small wins, a safe play style and guaranteed low-risk play.
Each number on the roulette wheel has an equal chance of being landed on with each spin, and the strategies you adopt will not affect the outcome of the ball. However, playing different roulette strategies is a fun way to get to know the game, and to discover what style of play works for you, and which gives you the most enjoyment.
